7digital Was wir davon halten: A Christmas Gift For You ist wohl das größte Rock & Roll Weihnachtsalbum aller Zeiten. 1963, als noch niemand so genau wusste wer Phil Spector überhaupt ist, hat der Gute das Album am Todestag von John F. Kennedy veröffentlicht – vielleicht einer der Gründe warum das Album zunächst nicht so gut ankam. Das war allerdings nur eine Frage der Zeit, denn wer es schafft The Ronettes, The Crystals, Darlene Love und Bob B. Soxx auf einem Album zu vereinen, der kann einfach nicht daneben liegen. Ein Weihnachtsalbum, das in keiner Sammlung fehlen sollte.
